Farhad Kamangar
Professor Farhad Kamangar received his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1980 and M.S. in electrical engineering from UTA in 1977. He received his B.S. from the University of Tehran, Iran, in 1975. His research interests include image processing, robotics, signal processing, machine intelligence and computer graphics.
Roger Walker
Professor Roger Walker received his Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin in 1972. He also received from UT Austin his M.S. and B.S. in electrical engineering in 1970 and 1963, respectively. He is director of the Embedded and Transportation Instrumentation Research Laboratory, which has performed $8 million in government research under his supervision. He is also the former chair of the CSE Department at UTA. His areas of specialization include embedded systems, real-time instrumentation, signal processing, statistics and pavement distress measurements. His experience includes six years in industry as a computer systems and research engineer and senior manager.
