• Biography : Bahram Khalili is a senior lecturer and graduate advisor in the Computer Science and Engineering Department at the University of Texas at Arlington. Dr. Khalili received his B.S. in Computer Science from University of Waterloo, Canada, in 1984, and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from Southern Methodist University in Dallas in 1991 and 1996. His teaching and research areas include Software Engineering, Operating Systems, and Distributed Systems. Prior to joining UTA, Dr. Khalili held various technical and managerial roles in the industry for over 18 years. His latest industrial position was a 11-year tenure as a Senior Technical Advisor and Senior Development Manager at Fidelity Investment in the US and Europe. His primary responsibilities were in the fast transmission of the Dow-Jones and other financial market data worldwide. Prior to Fidelity, Dr. Khalili served as a technical consultant at Mobil Oil, Dallas for two year and five years as a Software Engineer at Instrumental Flight Research Systems (IFR Systems Inc.) in Wichita, Kansas.
