- Biography : Associate Professor Jean Gao received her Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Purdue University in 2002, and her M.S. and B.S. in biomedical engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and Shanghai Medical University, respectively. During the summer of 1996, she was a research associate in the Medical Imaging Research Lab at the University of Utah. Her main research areas are bioinformatics, biomedical imaging, computer vision and pattern recognition.
