RoPro College Challenge Camp 2013
Monday, July 1 - Wednesday, July 3, 2013
Greetings from the Computer Science and Engineering Department of the University of Texas at Arlington.
As you may know, for many years we hosted RoPro, the High School Robot Programming Contest, in February. This year we are
able to hold a summer RoPro event. The summer program is the RoPro College Challenge
Camp. This three day camp is designed for high school juniors, seniors and new graduates who would like
to play with robots and learn about college at the same time. The College Challenge Camp will not only
provide students with a fun robot challenge to work on and compete in at the end of camp but will also
cover topics like college financial aid, entrance essays, and how to apply to colleges. By the end of
the camp, students will have completed at least one college application to the college of their choice.
(Of course, we hope it's UTA!)
The fee for the RoPro Camp in 2013 will be $40. This fee covers the three camp days 9am - 5pm on Monday, July 1 - Wednesday, July 3, 2013, the
use of the robots, and lunch on the UTA campus each day. Students will work on the robot projects
in small teams and we are limiting our camp enrollment to 20 students. Below you can find
a Student Application form template. Please feel free to share this info
with all your students and colleagues. Any questions about the camp may be directed to me.
Thank you for all you do for students! CSE@UTA looks forward to working with your students this
summer.
