Charlene Li, a principal analyst for Forrester Research, a leading global
technology and market research company that forecasts technology's impact on business and
consumers, will speak at UTA Sept. 28. The lecture is sponsored by the Department of
Computer Science and Engineering and Sabre Holdings Corp.
The open lecture is at 1 p.m. in the Rady Room in Nedderman Hall. Refreshments will be
served.
Ms. Li's lecture is titled "Adoption and Impact of Blogs, Podcasting and Social Networks."
The lecture will present survey data on the adoption of these technologies and an analysis
on how adoption will impact institutions like business, media, education and politics.
Ms. Li is a graduate of Harvard University, with an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Prior to joining Forrester, she served on the board of directors for the Newspaper
Association of America's New Media Federation and managed new product development at the
San Jose Mercury News.
Sabre Holdings is a world leader in the travel marketplace, providing a range of products,
including technology solutions to the travel industry, and is an industry partner to the
Department of Computer Science and Engineering.
