CSE On the Move
April 23-24, 2009 Dr. Arthur Alexander Reyes (CSE dept.), Dr. Atilla Dogan (MAE dept.), and Komkrit Kaewchay (graduate student in Aerospace Engineering) visited RotoMotion LLC in South Carolina to learn how to operate RotoMotion’s SR20 and SR30 autonomous helicopters. All the travelers are affiliated with the UTA Autonomous Vehicles Laboratory , which is buying two complete helicopter systems with funds provided by the Texas Workforce Commission. The systems will be used for workforce training and research in rapid-response aerial observation & reconnaissance.
