• Biography : Dr. Barasch is the Director of Undergraduate Programs in the CSE department at UTA. She received her B.S. in Computer Science from Duke University in 1980, M.S. in Computer science from New York University in 1982, and Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Oklahoma in 1988. She developed software systems for Bell Laboratories as a member of their technical staff from 1980-1982. From 1982-1985 she worked in the Computing Research Department of Amoco Production Company developing software tools such as databases and preprocessors.
  She has previously been on the faculty at Texas Wesleyan University and Florida International University.
  Dr. Barasch teaches several undergraduate courses at UTA. She is also actively involved in curriculum issues and serves as the lead undergraduate advisor.
